In “Camp Funshine: Carrie the Caregiver 3”, the third edition of “Carrie the Caregiver” series, you represent Carrie again. After the adventure of taking care of babies in the six continents around the world, and then your adventure at the preschool, you’re back and ready for your next adventure: summer camp. The objective of the game is to take good care of the campers. If you do it right, you receive points. If you do it wrong, you lose points. There are score goals in each level that you need to reach in order to pass to the next level. You’ll have to help the kids finding their seats, creating partners and new friends, and getting them whatever they need. They’ll express what they need using dialogue bubbles above their heads.
You’ll be dealing with different types of campers, varying in patience, speed and reward: there are 7 years old girls, 7 years old boys, 10 years old girls, 10 years old boys, 13 years old boys, and 13 years old girls, so you better be prepared! While you take care of the campers there are a parameter you have to be aware of: Patience level. A bar of hearts on the side of the camper show his level of patience. You have to keep it as high as you can at all times in order to win the game.
When you first enter the game, you’ll see the welcome screen with the following options:
- New Player: the first time there’s no existing player. After you create one or more, they’ll be saved. When you enter into this submenu, you’ll be asked for a name as a new player. It’s possible to have a list of different players and record their performance. This way, you can play home tournaments with family and friends.
- Carrie’s Career: this option leads you to the first game previously viewing the introduction to the story. You’ll have the chance to take a tutorial to help you get started. In this mode, there will be different levels and a story going on.
- Endless Campers: this option leads you to the first game in this mode. Here there are no levels or story. You just keep playing as long as you can.
- High Scores: view the top scores obtained by the players.
- Options: this is the menu from which you can set some game options like: sound effects volume, music volume, mute all sound and full screen.
- Help: this option leads you to a card-style help.
- Quit: to close the application.
Once you are playing, you can press the MENU button on the screen to pause the game, go to the options menu, or go out to the main menu.
